Our Preferred Funds - Updated May 21, 2006

Our preferred funds is the pool of some 150 unit trust and OEIC funds from which we will usually recommend individual funds to an investor.

The preferred funds have been identified as such by referring to the results of a number of external research companies looking at different aspects of the fund and the fund manager.

Which fund or funds we actually recommend from the preferred funds will depend on a number of things including:

 

  
   
  •  the personal financial situation of the investor
  •  the investor's attitude to risk for this particular type of investment
  •  the investor's existing portfolio of investments and where the new fund or funds is to fit in
  •  the investor's need for capital growth or income, or both
  •  the investor's age
  •  the investor's particular requirements, for example in respect of socially responsible funds
  •  our experience of the fund management group and particularly if we have met the fund manager
